Tiran Island is located in Sharm El Sheikh
It is a resort town on the Red Sea coast of Egypt. It is located in the northeastern part of the Red Sea and is a popular destination for tourists visiting Sharm el-Sheikh .
Tiran Island is renowned for its unique natural beauty and rich underwater world. It is part of the Ras Mohammed Marine National Park, recognized as one of the most beautiful places for snorkeling and diving. The area boasts numerous coral reefs, attracting divers and snorkelers from around the world.
Tiran Island was previously the subject of territorial disputes between Egypt and Saudi Arabia. However, in 2017, Egypt and Saudi Arabia reached an agreement ceding the island to Saudi Arabia. This agreement was reached after lengthy negotiations between the two countries .
You will also see the main coastline of Sharm El Sheikh and the wreck of the Cypriot merchant ship “Lara”, which sank on the reef between the coast and the island in 1985.
The day will be spent relaxing in the fresh air, admiring the underwater world and accompanied by a professional instructor. Please note that there is no landing on the island, as it is foreign territory .
